Here's our chat with Glenn:
Can you pick out any highlights from your work that you're particularly proud of?

J.Cole - K.O.D.

Future - DS-2

Key Glock - Glockoma 2

Missy Elliot - Iconology

Kurt Rosenwinkel - Undercover (Live at the Village Vanguard)

Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit (self titled)

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - We're Gonna Get there in the End

How would you define your main role on most of the projects you work on these days?

Mastering, I'm the last stop of the production. Final polish & QC.

How did you get started in music? What kind of music did you listen to while growing up and how has that progressed?

I was a heavy metal kid from Queens that got into the early NY HipHop scene. Very similar to Rick Rubin, minus the meteoric success, lol.

Can you name any factors that influenced the course of your musical life?

Big influences were Kiss (from my neighborhood), the crazy NYC Clubs (Max's Kansas City, CBGB, Mudd Club, Dancerteria) A rock producer / engineer I worked with early on, Jeff Glixman (Kansas, Black Sabbath, ELO).

Can you briefly describe a moment of frustration from your past work, and what you may have done to overcome the obstacles? Would you approach it differently now?

Early in my mastering, I had no clue what I was doing. I wish I would have had a mentor to show me the ropes and not make so many mistakes. This was all pre-internet too.

Is there any gear you find yourself turning to most when working on a project? What are some of your favorite tools/instruments recently?

My giant, multi room facility has now evolved to my trusty LCD-5s and a Chord DAVE.

Do you have any words of wisdom for people who might aspire toward a similar path for their own careers?

Be prepared to have a second or third job for the first few years.

How long have you been working with headphones, and how do you typically use them in your workflow?

I use them for everything. Every single record since 2018 has been mastered on Audeze Headphones. I started originally with some custom IEMs in 2012. I got my first pair of mastering quality headphones in 2018 with my Audeze LCD-4s

Do you have any additional comments or stories you want to share?

I've got too many stories....

How have your Audeze headphones affected your work? Can you tell us what you've been working on with them recently?

I've lived in 7 countries, and traveled the world since closing down my Atlanta studios in 2012. Having headphones and a portable rig enriched my life to no end. I'm currently residing in Reykjavik Iceland.
