Metropolis is a music production and entertainment company established in London in 1989, which has constantly pushed the boundaries of what is possible in music production. The studio played a pivotal role in introducing digital recording techniques, which revolutionised the industry, while maintaining the integrity of the analogue roots that remain a cornerstone of its identity. Audeze has had the pleasure of working with Metropolis extensively, and we look forward to many more years of collaboration.
Tony Cousins is a revered name in the world of audio mastering. With an impressive career spanning over four decades, Tony has collaborated with some of the most iconic artists in the industry, such as Adele, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, and Massive Attack, to name a few. Tony’s latest project is “The Montreux Years,” a series of albums featuring curated performances from the storied jazz festival over the years.

Matt Colton began his mastering career in 1997 and has mastered records for an array of the world’s most renowned artists including Arctic Monkeys, Thom Yorke, Steven Wilson, Shania Twain, George Michael, Depeche Mode, Aphex Twin, Ellie Goulding and the Rolling Stones. Matt currently works out of Metropolis Studios in London.

Andy Baldwin started at Metropolis in 1996 and honed his craft under the most renowned Mastering Engineers in Europe; Tim Young, Tony Cousins and Ian Cooper. The 3 engineers passed on to Andy an exceptionally high benchmark to master and instilled an uncompromising work ethic that belies his affectionate nickname of ‘Hippy’.
