Great but not as comfortable as originals

"I have both the Maxwell 1 and 2. One of the gripes I have with both is you can’t choose between the dongle connection or Bluetooth if both are connected at the same time. It defaults to the dongle. So I was excited when the new version came out for the upgrades, but also having an extra headset for a separate Bluetooth connection. Overall, both headsets sound awesome, but I was a tad disappointed in the comfort department. I expected the new version to be more comfortable, but in my opinion they are less comfortable and is the reason for four stars instead of five. It looks like they tried to make the pads have a larger opening to be more over-ear, but it resulted in the pads being thinner in both width and depth. I’m more aware of the clamping pressure and overall just aren’t as comfortable for longer sessions."

Great headset/great mic quality

"Heavy to hold but not heavy to wear (interestingly enough). Havent had any issues with the weight after wearing them for 8 hours straight. They sound great, even though i havent had the chance to mess with the eq settings for xbox. My online friends say the mic works great as well which is the main reason i blew so much $$ for this headset. I have a return order in works for this headset cuz i cant decide between keeping it or returning it so i can just do a complex (annoying) sep fifine microphone/headphones setup. leaning towards keeping these tho since my microphone sounds gooood. I have a week or two to decide!"

At first I wasnt sure of them

"When I got them after waiting for a while I really wasn't a fan. . I was hearing a static popping noise, then put in for a return on them. I tried them again with a different way to connect the dongle (using the adapter) and sure enough. Fixed the issue(connection issue). After this newest update they are incredible sound even better than before. I do recommend them."

"I've never considered myself an audiophile, but I know what good sound is. Family was always focused on quality in this way. I honestly thought my $500 high end over-ear headphones were great until I put these on. The separation of each frequency by the planar drivers is amazing. Music sounds much clearer, and gaming with shooters and footsteps blows my mind."

Incredible

"I honestly love them. After my Penrose fell apart, I didn’t think I’d invest in Audeze again—but the audio quality always stuck with me. The Maxwell 2 completely changed my mind. The build quality is much better, and they sound incredible. Now I just wish they had noise canceling. Also, watch Dune—it sounds insane with these. If I had one gripe, it would be the packaging. Audeze should make it easier to take the headset in and out for storage. It would help protect them—especially from my kids."

"Battery and Audio are the best ive had. Only reason it gets 4 and not 5 stars is the leather strap thing got sticky/melty. Weird and sucks. But the actual headset is great. Only downfall was this strap thing. . ."

Still Learning Setup

"I encountered no difficulties in customizing the equalizer. The headphones are exceptional, providing excellent clarity and a clean sound. While they may be slightly heavy, they are comfortable for extended gaming sessions. The second day of gaming was particularly enjoyable due to the immersive sound quality. It is important to note that the comfort of headphones does not necessarily correlate with their sound quality. I highly recommend trying the Max 2 headphones. The 30-day return policy is a commendable feature. The sales staff provided excellent customer service."

"It’s a really great headset and I knew the sound quality was gonna be great but what really surprised me was the sound quality of the mic, it’s one of the best mics out there in a headset and I was really relieved that it was good because most gaming headset have good sound but the mic is always so meh.
