Health and Safety

Before using the product and/or accessories, carefully read this manual and any manuals for compatible hardware. Retain instructions for future use. Observe all warnings, precautions and instructions.

[!] WARNING

RADIO WAVES

Observe all signs and instructions that require an electrical device or radio product to be switched off in designated areas, such as gas/refueling stations, hospitals, blasting areas, potentially explosive atmospheres or aircraft.

MAGNETS AND DEVICES

This product has magnets which may interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators and programmable shunt valves or other medical devices. Do not place this product close to such medical devices or persons who use such medical devices. Consult your doctor before using this product if you use such medical devices.

VOLUME LEVEL

[!] WARNING

To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

Permanent hearing loss may occur if the product is used at high volume. Set the volume to a safe level. Over time, increasingly loud audio may start to sound normal but can actually be damaging your hearing.
If you experience ringing or any discomfort in your ears or muffled speech, stop listening and have your hearing checked. The louder the volume, the sooner your hearing could be affected. To protect your hearing:
– Limit the amount of time you use the product at high volume.
– Avoid raising the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
– Lower the volume if you can’t hear people speaking near you.

LI-ON POLYMER BATTERY

Do not handle damaged Li-on Polymer batteries. If the inner material comes into contact with the skin, eyes or clothes, immediately rinse the affected area with clean water and consult your doctor. The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not leave the battery charging for a prolonged period of time when the product is not in use.

YOUNG CHILDREN INJURIES

CHOKING HAZARD – Small parts. Keep the product and accessories out of the reach of young children.
Young children may swallow small parts or may wrap the cable around themselves, which may inflict injury.

DISCOMFORT TO YOUR SKIN

If you feel that the product is irritating your skin, stop using it immediately.

NEVER DISASSEMBLE OR MODIFY THE PRODUCT OR ACCESSORIES

There is a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

[!] Precautions

Taking breaks

If you experience discomfort while using the product, stop using it immediately. If the condition persists, consult a doctor.

Static shock

When using the product in particularly dry air conditions, you may sometimes experience a small and quick (static) shock on your ears. This is a result of static electricity accumulated in the body, and is not a malfunction of the product.

Set up and handling

•   Do not use the product while cycling, driving or engaged in any other activity where your full attention is required. Doing so may result in an accident.
•   Always ensure the product, accessories, or its connectors are free of liquid, excess dust, and small particles.
•   Do not expose the product, accessories, or battery to extremely high or low temperatures during operation, transportation, or storage.
•   Do not leave the product or accessories in direct sunlight for extended periods (such as in a car during summer).
•   Do not touch the connectors or insert anything into the product.
•   Be careful not to pinch your fingers in the gaps between parts, and not to hurt your hands and fingers on the corner of parts.
•   Do not use the cables or connectors if they are damaged or modified.
•   Do not place heavy items on the product, accessories, or cables, throw or drop the product, or otherwise expose it to strong physical impact.
•   When putting the headphones on or putting them flat on a desk, a small amount of air becomes trapped in the earcups. If the headphones have excessive pressure put on the earpads without a means for the air inside the earcups to escape (such as dropping them on a flat surface, or pushing them down quickly while they’re on the user’s head) the resulting pressure increase on this trapped air can damage the diaphragm. This damage is not covered by warranty. We recommend putting your headphones on slowly without pressing them down, giving the pressure time to equalize naturally.
•   To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods. Also, higher volume may cause distortion. We recommend using your headphones at a comfortable, moderate volume level.
•   Turn the volume down on your device before placing the headphones on your ears, then turn the volume up gradually until you reach a comfortable listening level.
•   With our powered headsets, a warning tone (beep) will sound when the volume is increased to maximum (this feature is not on our analog headphones). This is meant to protect your ears when you raise the volume setting beyond a specific level.
•   Use this product only with an agency approved power supply which meets local regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, CSA, VDE, CCC).
•   Do NOT make unauthorized alterations to this product. (e.g. remove the Li-ion polymer rechargeable battery from this product and install an after-market battery by yourself.) This could result in a potential battery explosion risk or premature failure of your headphones, which are not covered by warranty.
•   Do NOT expose products containing batteries to excessive heat (e.g. from storage indirect sunlight, fire or the like)
•   This product contains magnetic material. Consult your physician on whether this might affect your implantable medical device.

Use and handling

[!] The power delivered by the charger must be between min. 2.5 Watts required by the radio equipment, and max 10 Watts in order to achieve the maximum charging speed.

End of life product recycling

[!] The product and accessories are made of many materials that may be recycled. Follow local regulations when disposing of the product.

Where you see either symbol on any of our electrical products, batteries or packaging, it indicates that the relevant electrical product or battery should not be disposed of as general household waste in the EU, UK, Türkiye, or other countries with separate waste collection systems available. To ensure correct waste treatment, please dispose of them via an authorised collection facility, in accordance with any applicable laws or requirements. Waste electrical products and batteries may also be disposed of free of charge via retailers when buying a new product of the same type.

Furthermore, within the UK and EU countries, larger retailers may accept small waste electronic products free of charge. Please ask your local retailer if this service is available for the products you wish to dispose of. In so doing, you will help to conserve natural resources and improve standards of environmental protection in treatment and disposal of electrical waste. This symbol may be used on batteries in combination with additional chemical symbols.

The chemical symbol for lead (Pb) will appear if the battery contains more than 0.004% lead. This product contains a battery which is permanently built in for safety, performance or data integrity reasons. The battery should not need to be replaced during the lifetime of the product and should only be removed by skilled service personnel. To ensure the correct waste treatment of the battery, please dispose of this product as electrical waste.

FCC and ISED Canada notice

The available scientific evidence does not show that any health problems are associated with using low power wireless devices. There is no proof, however, that these low power wireless devices are absolutely safe. Low power Wireless devices emit low levels of radio frequency energy (RF) in the microwave range while being used. Whereas high levels of RF can produce health effects (by heating tissue), exposure of low-level RF that does not produce heating effects causes no known adverse health effects. Many studies of low-level RF exposures have not found any biological effects. Some studies have suggested that some biological effects might occur, but such findings have not been confirmed by additional research. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with FCC/ISED radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines and RSS-102 of the ISED radio frequency (RF) Exposure rules. This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules

This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
– Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
– Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
– Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
– Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

You are cautioned that any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.

For assistance with this product, email: support@Audeze.com The phone number in the supplier’s declaration of conformity is only for FCC electrical interference inquiries.

For the USA and Canada:

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.

For assistance with this product, email: support@Audeze.com The phone number in the supplier’s declaration of conformity is only for FCC electrical interference inquiries.
