Reviews

Fantastic sound meets accessibility, meets gaming.

"Before I ever heard of Audeze and the Maxwell series, I firmly believed that there was no "audiophile" or high-quality-sounding wireless gaming headset that was still accessible to use and hassle-free. The Maxwell 2 ANC is exactly what I was searching for in a perfect headset for gaming and other uses. I'm nowhere near an actual audiophile (or maybe I am, actually), but as someone who appreciates great sound/audio while having no budget for a full home theater with costly equipment, this headset is perfect for me, and I love it!"

— Daan (5/5)

Interaction with other applications

"Sounds great, comfortable and wireless works better after firmware. My only issue is how the headset works with Discord and other PC applications. It has some wonky behavior at times where you have to test the headset in Discord to get voice to work correctly. I didn't have this issue with previous headsets."

— Michael H. (4/5)

Incredible Sound

"I am coming from the Mobius (6 years) and the Maxwell 2 ANC blows them out of the water. The App/Software is easy to use. The sound is incredible. I am always turning my head while playing Resident Evil: Requiem, Doom: Dark Ages or NIOH 3. Music sounds great as well. I like heavy Bass and these are perfect for the music I listen to. They are comfortable for a 4 hour gaming session. I am so glad I made the purchase. No regrets"

— Famous B. (5/5)

Sound fantastic

"I was a little concerned that the size would be too much but I think they are very comfortable. They are now my primary gaming headset for PS5. It’s nice that the edge control volume adjustments work via the console. PS5 compatibility was primary reason to buy these."

— Chris W. (5/5)

Gaming meta

"This headset is insane. Use it for COD it’s crazy. Upgraded from Asto A50 way better audio. Headset is heavy and takes some getting use typo. Once you get use to em they actually are comfortable. Great product team Audeze!"

— Joseph r. (5/5)

Great headset

"Swapped from a50s to these and don’t regret the decision, these become so quiet to outside noise it’s crazy, like your ears get pressure locked on sound like if you Were on a spaceship"

— Robert C. (5/5)

No need to press "pause" when getting a Teams call. . .

"The best feature for me is the dual-channel integration on PC. By setting up the dedicated default channels for communication and media, I can seamlessly run work calls while keeping low background music playing. The physical game/chat mix control makes it incredibly easy to balance the two on the fly without minimizing my windows."

— Carlos G. (5/5)

Maxwell 2 ANC Xbox

"I love these headphones! I use them for Call of Duty primarily. I have to crank the volume on the headphones all the way up which is a little annoying. I also use them in Pro Tools for mixing at school. They get too loud in other apps so it’s a Call of Duty problem. I didn’t have to touch eq settings I thought they sound great (well balanced) out of the box. Dynamic range is excellent. Every physical detail to these headphones is excellent. All the buttons and switches are great. They are comfortable and I wear them for long periods of time. ANC on creates an audible hiss that needs to be addressed and Transparency mode is good but hiss is worse. When listening to audio the hiss isn’t a bother only when it’s on your head with no audio playing. All in all excellent headphones at an amazing price point."

— Griffith B. (5/5)

Audeze headset review

"i like them they feel nice but am having small issue i dont know how to see the battery charge % . they feel nice and comfy and havent had any issues"

— Brynjar G. (5/5)

Flawless

"After a few hiccups with firmware (unit turning on randomly), the headphones have been absolutely perfect. Similar ANC level to my Sony Ult Wears. Sound quality for music is exceptional, hearing deeper intrinsic notes that I’ve never heard before in my favorite songs. Gaming of course has a wider range of frequency compared to many other headsets, and with no compromises. If I had to be picky about a few things - the ANC has some slight background noise compared to my Sony’s (that are dead silent). But it’s very minute and I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I had nothing to compare them. They also don’t fold up well, so anrent ans portable as other sets. They’re built to last, solid construction, and what they lack in portability they make up for in tough build quality. Something you’d expect to last, until the end of time. I love them."
