Thinner than my original pads, but very comfy
"These were a bit thinner than my original pads that came with my LCD2. 2 non-fazor bamboo. They are very comfortable but I really hope they last at least as long as my original pair."

LCD Earpads offer comfortable foam padding compatible with most LCD headphones, excluding LCD-5 and LCD-1. Customers have mixed opinions on the sound and earpads, with some appreciating the fullness and quality, while others note a reduction in sub bass response with the new thinner pads.

"Hello, Wanted to take a moment and share my experience with ordering and receiving Audeze leather LCD earpads. Everything went smoothly and flawlessly ordering the earpads from the Audeze website. My items arrived even sooner than quoted. Quality is better than all others that are nearly the same price so why not just get Audeze’s pads directly? You’ll be glad you did. Thank you Audeze for many years of awesome innovation and superb products on top of stellar customer service. :)"

"Didn’t realize how much my old pads had compressed over time. New pads restored the comfort and actually they sound better. Didn’t realize they had lost a step until I replaced the pads. Only thought to do it in the first place because the original pads were so old the glue started to break down (ok, it’s been a few years, I know). My ears don’t touch anymore which is a lot more comfortable."

"The originals earpads in non leather where desintegrading themselves after 2 years of usage of the lcd2. Now I hope the full leather will be long life. The replacement is almost easy, some tutor are available on internet. Really confortable, not warm, no issue with sound quality. I like them."

"I bought the leather pads to revive my pair of LCD-X that had been in pretty much daily use for 2+ years. Was kind of astonished at what I had been missing with worn pads that had started to slightly peel away from the frame. And as a bonus, I regained that pleasing, fresh leather smell every time I open their case. There do seem to be criticism about the adhesive but for me, I found it wasn't tricky to do, it just took a little time. I don't mind spending a little bit of time every few years to maintain a quality set of headphones. I have a spare set lined up for my 4Z and I'll probably pick up a couple more as backups the next time I make an order from my local supplier."
