Refinement. Precision. Luxury.
Incorporating our latest technical advancements, the new LCD-5s rewards listeners with a vast, immersive soundscape and palpably physical bass response. A. new driver design combines with SLAM technology to produce mastering-grade precision even better than the original LCD-5, with a more natural, lifelike frequency response. Redesigned earpads are precisely sculpted to ensure long-term comfort and improved seal.
Engineered for Effortless Realism
To present listeners the most natural frequency response, LCD-5s uses a new driver design featuring our thinnest, most responsive materials. The nano-scale Parallel Uniforce diaphragm connects to a revised chassis structure, allowing the most precise midrange tuning possible.
SLAM — Punch, Detail, Presence
Sophisticated copper accents highlight the outstanding handcrafted material quality — featuring carbon fiber, magnesium, genuine leather, and polished polymer acetate.

"I have the LCD X ,and LCD XC and now the LCD-5S. They are all excellent, but the 5S is closer to using actual speakers. The LCD X sounds a little compressed in comparison. The low end extension is very low, and not in any way like normal headphones. I actually thought my Genelec sub was turned on while doing a mix one day. They power very well with a $600 Topping A90 discrete on high gain setting. They sounded almost the same just using my RME interface headphone amp on high gain. They are expensive, but in my case very worthwhile."
"As somebody who’s constantly had problems, mixing and mastering utilizing headphones, I finally found my home. After trying multiple models all over the map the detail the low end the translation and low listening fatigue is just unbelievable package. I don’t recommend anything but I recommend these. I have never heard anything so musical yet precise at the same time."
"If you loved the LCD-5 but thought they were touch bright and touch bass-shy, you'll want to upgrade to the LCD-5s. That's what I did. If you've never heard the LCD-5 but have been curious if they're worth the cost, now is the time to buy. Simply the best headphone you'll find for mastering, mixing, or high-quality listening for recreation. ."
