Surprising difference
"Just picked these up from a local vendor fully expecting these to be a placebo, but there's definitely a nice clarity in low dB 2khz+. subtle details in the highs are clear, reverbs that bleed high are very clear, for better or worse, lol. Theres definitely no compromise or tradeoff with the low end. Examples: Sentient- Ballistic. The crunch layered onto the kick from ~2:35 is played on 3 different tones, never noticed that before. Totally changes the rhythm of the track. Fracus & Darwin - Hypnotic. This is one of my favorite modern uk hardcore tracks but what a mess with the reverb! I never noticed before but it's way too much. Live recorded drums, specifically hi-hats, cymbals etc sound really good, but most of what I listen to is EDM that use rather poor quality source audio for hats. If you produce / master and use headphones to monitor, these are probably worth it. Not sure what income bracket you need to be in to justify these as just a listener."

"More gain than unbalanced cable, less distortion because of my amp is bad with its unbalanced output, overall it’s better but not for the price 599$"

Premium Braided Cable
"I was lucky enough to pick one of these cable up in the Uk at a very good price. In my opinion it is a significant upgrade on other cables I have tried including a pure silver cable, & a couple of high quality copper cables as well as the stock cable. Combine this cable with the new style ear pads & you get to hear just how good the LCD-3 can be. I am using the Burson Soloist 3X (with the 4 pin XLR output), Qutest DAC & Melco N1A. There is great transparency to the sound, excellent detail but approve all ,I am connecting to the music emotionally to greater extent than before which is the primary aim."

Upgrade From Standard Audeze Balanced Cable
"Ok so I felt the original standard balanced cable output listening experience for my system was quite good.Over time I always tend to wonder though could it actually be in fact improved upon.So I honestly didn’t think it was going to make that much of a difference in sound coming from a sub10k setup like my own.Right from the start, I noticed just in fit and finish there were some noticeable details.The connections felt way more tight and secure upon connecting the clasps to my headphones.Happy that they did and once secured, I proceeded to put on some MQA content mixed and sampled at 176.4 kHz.Within about 15 seconds I was like OMG, there is an amazing difference throughout and pretty much in every parameter of the listening experience.At that point I felt like the investment I made was clearly worth every penny. I then proceeded to listen to cd quality content and there was still a marked difference and worth it but it really brought out the high end sampled content best.I later even watched some YouTube videos at lower bandwidth quality and there was some difference but not as much. I am really glad I made this purchase because now I feel I am able to get the most out of my efforts of always trying to get ahold of the best sampled studio content that I can find.I thought I was before but always had the feeling that perhaps something was in fact missing.I no longer have that worry as my listening experience now is top rate and I am appreciating many more subtleties!"

"This cable indeed is well made and braided, it is as advertised it is flexible even after long used and tangle-free! Also no microphonics when moving the cables around on the table in my experience. Also would be happier if it comes with a optional 3 meter version :)"

Alternative to the Stock OCC cable
"Black OCC cable vs Silver coated OCC (both with the Balanced XLR version with good Quality Neutrik Gold plated Contact connectors) SLIGHT SONIC DIFFERENCE when compared to the Stock Black OCC Cable, this cable make sound treble region smoother and less Harsh and a little more airier transparent, Slightly clearer and separated, tiny little bit more balanced across overall frequency response compared to the Black OCC .. All effects stated above are not big significant changes as the stock OCC cable are also an excellent cables to begin with but is noticeable to me in my setup, since everyone used in a difference setup, the experience may vary, so take this review of mine subjectively :) Would'nt say between this two excellent made Audeze cable is better or worse, they just presented me with a slight alternative focus in different frequency :)"

Incredible
"I heard for so long cables make no difference. I just do not believe that anymore at all. This cable is a massive upgrade. There is clear difference here between the stock cable. Pretty amazing how well done it really is. Writing out complete detail when we all have different sources might not be so useful so ill save you the time. I do not write reviews but had to say how i felt about this"

"This is the third cable I bought for my lcd-3’s. The other 2 cables where in the $200-$350 range and where good, but for grins I wanted to see what a $600 cable would do for the lcd-3’s, after approx 50 hrs of burn in, I played a song that I knew very well and took about 30 seconds when I said WOW, that I had something special here, after hearing more songs I couldn’t believe how these cables took the lcd-3’s to the next level, The sound stage, imaging, over all sound quality was unbelievable. It’s crazy how a high quality cable makes that big of a difference. The only con I could find is that tough taking them off at the end of the night."
