"I got this headset for Gaming and playing music. Unfunitly these only come with two options to connect to anything leaving them almost useless in today’s world and all the Devices almost having no jack anymore. With a 3M jack my only option to my computer they sound great playing music and they feel good heavy but very comfortable A+ on design and how they are built. However, the sound is not there for $899 and you would need to buy a amplification to get the sound to go up that another 100-250$ and then a mic. I asked if the LCD-GX where a better option as they are advertised as Gaming headsets. I was told they are no different and the Maxwells are my best bet. I will be uploading a Review of the headset on YouTube but don’t Recommend based on the sounds from the 3M jack and not able to use them on the go sucks also and why I’m giving 3 Stars. I will be sending these back and paying for the re shipping. I have the Hyper X Orbit S headset and the sound is so good and Audeze tech is in them and work great only problem is its plastic and breaking. The Maxwell headset looks to be the same so was trying for something with more bang but didn’t work out. They did some in a nice box if your needed to travel see my Review on youtube."

"Weight is totally fine, coming from mm-100's and there is no difference in weight to my mind anyways. the main thing is I can mix on these cans. I listen to electronic dance music in lossless quality through my babyface pro fs running through a Rupert Neve headphone amp and the sound is perfect. they are indeed not the flattest headphone audeze makes but they are still better than 99.9% of closed back headphones elsewhere. I will never sell these. Bought a 130 dollar audio quest headphone stand which is perch style and it's perfect for these. Audeze, it took me 25 years to learn to mix but now I can, thank you!"
"Indeed outstanding and outstandingly well dun, the masters who created this headphone is indeed masterful at what they do. I have been thru so much headphones and non measure up to audeze headphones. I treat these headphones like a new born child. The Well-protected case that comes with my headphones tells me these headphones are not a child’s toy but a man’s toy. I indeed have truly arrived when I am mixing with the LCD 2. These headphones are the final chain in my mixing process, I use a set of cheap headphones to do basic audio mixing and arrangement, then I reach for the audeze lcd2 closed back for serious mixing. my fan noise is so loud and I have to keep my equipment cool in this Florida hot weather, then when I am ready for the final stage mix I reach for the lcd2 open back. I just had to have both of these headphones, then I will be sending my mixes to the mastering engineers for final mastering. We’ll still looking at the other audeze headphones so I can move up to really serious mastering my tracks my self and I am indeed stuck with audeze headphones and I am okay with that, i finally found an outstanding headphones to use, my lcd2 headphones at audeze is the only way to go when it come to perfect mixing. Thanks to the masters who created these audeze headphones i am forever your customer. And I am okay with that."
"The Audeze LCD2 Closed-Back are absolutely amazing headphones. People complain about the weight, I don't mind, I'm used to it. It's worth the sound. I use them very often, maybe even more often than the open LCD-X They play better than LCD-X, really. LCD-X are bad, hole in the mids and gain in the treble...ugh... The LCD-X plays amazingly well after tuning the EQ according to the Harman curve. I absolutely love the LCD2 Closed."
"As others have said, surprised there’s not many reviews for this model. These bad boys were my introduction to the Audeze brand and high end headphones ($500 and above). I needed some daily drivers for my production/mixing work that wouldn’t bother my wife. I went with these based on the price point/specs. Had them for over a year now. No regrets at all. Sound: LOUD. But CLEAR. I have these paired with a schitt magnius running balanced. The amount of sheer volume these things can take without any distortion is very impressive. The sub region is tight and clean, bassheads will enjoy the nice vibrations against the dome. Mids are neutral, upper mids are nice and crisp. I especially enjoy how a good snare sound in these. They smack you in the face. Overall I love how separated everything sounds. These make it easy to make critical mixing decisions. About the pads: They originally come with the imitation leather pads that are extra thick and provide more than enough room for your ears to wiggle without touching the drivers. These pads unfortunately started to peel after a year so I upgraded to the authentic leather pads. While these are slightly less thick than the original pads, they improve the clarity and punch dramatically. They were already reference grade cans and now they are even clearer and make my job easier. Spend the extra 80 dollars and get the leather pads. Trust me. Love these"
"The Audeze LCD-2 CB a very good headphone for long listening sessions, and in short a very natural non fatiguing listen. The bass very tight with a slightly boost at the sub 200 hz range. Mids are flat, with no obvious coloration Highs are well extended with lots of air. And yes, it's still a Audeze... When comparing this to other headphones, - for example the HD650, this headphone has the same mids, with slightly more treble and of course real subbass. The best part is that it is perceived very neutral, with no obvious part of the frequency range being over emphasized. When listening to music with sub-bass and bass guitars, everything just sounds natural and not saturated. And the highs are there yes.. it's not as vailed as the HD650 and also not as piercing as the a Beyerdynamic. - again very neutral. This headphone is more natural then the Focal Celestee, and every Beyedynamic closed back headphone. ( I have tried them all :) The soundstage is 3D like. not has big as the HD800s, but alot bigger then a DT1990. Vocals are put in front of you, instead of "in your head". Imagining is spot on, laser tight. But what is really special is that everything sounds BIG. Vocals sound big, guitars sound big... sound is not just a "pinpoint" but has a real mass and size. It's almost like listening to big speakers compared to a HD650 that has a small speakers feeling, that just play loud. ( relatively speaking ) So yeah.. Audeze. SEND THIS HEADPHONE OUT TO SOME REAVIEWS!"
"I can't believe that there is not single review of this product here in the official website. But all I can say is that at this price point this is a banger. The reason I chose the closed back version is that I don't want to disturb my wife and my kid when I listen during night time. I play full blast and the noise leak in these cans is almost non existent. The details, the bass, the highs and mids are very satisfactory for my taste. Every listening session is a pleasure, I own several units like senheisser, hifiman, sonys etc. but I keep coming back to this beast. Surprisingly the weight is not an issue, maybe I have a strong neck to hold these headphones for a long period of time. Bottom line, this LCD sounds great. Thanks!"
