Performance

A new single-sided Fluxor™ magnetic structure provides high sensitivity and low distortion (100 dB /1 mW @ 1kHz), allowing the LCD-GX to work with a wide variety of devices. To get the best output from the headphones, we suggest pairing them with a good amplifier and DAC.

The LCD-GX includes a detachable cable with a built-in directional, noise-attenuating boom microphone. The thoughtfully designed microphone cable includes a mute button and flexible gooseneck arm, allowing customized positioning to ensure each individual can find the angle that works best for them.

Compatibility

The LCD-GX comes with 2 exchangeable cables – The boom mic cable, and a standard LCD series cable (for those who don’t always need the boom mic). The boom mic cable terminates with a 1/8” TRRS 4 conductor plug for use with virtually all PCs, Macs, cellphones, etc. We also include a dual 1/8” inch splitter for separate headphone and microphone inputs.

Worth the money if you have the budget and love he

"Love them. First off the people complaining about these being uncomfortable way too sensitive and critical, 8 hy sessions with no issues. The box they came in was a pleasant surprise. Even though they’re 4x the price of my original headset, they are not 4x better sounding. Of course you can’t expect that, but the materials and build quality is 10x better and you do really hear things that you don’t get from regular headphones. The only negative thing I can say is you cannot disconnect the mic separately while not using (a quick connect in line with left side mic cord would be great) and they’re are not wireless, but again there’s no way to get top notch sound quality wireless. Other than that I am not disappointed in spending a little more for this artistry and engineering!"

Amazing sound that doesn't disappoint

"As a person with hearing loss, sound is more important than you would think. These headphones can take an amplification, and I can offset more volume to the ear that suffers hearing loss. With a good soundcard, I can hear in three dimensions. It's the only time when I feel normal; the range, positioning, and clarity are simply outstanding and bring a level of engagement you don't get with lesser headsets. The cost was a bit of a stretch for me, but the quality of the sound, the quality of the product, and the support I've received have made these headphones an excellent investment."

Lovely sound, but there is a problem.

"I do support the other reviews that the sound is amazing, and thats why its given 3 stars. It would have recieved 5 if it werent for one issue. A headset of this price category I expect exeptional quality when it comes to the set as a whole and not just the sound. I use my headset fairly often as its used a few times each week. I use a headphone stand to make sure its secure and its wires not in tangles and I always use the travel case when moving or storing for some time. After 2 years the sound stopped in the right earphone when I held it at a certain angle. It grew gradially worse as the months went along until the sound at the right side disapparead. I sent it in for repair but the same week as I got it back (after it being away for 3 months) the same issue started. Ive now returned it 4 times and the sound has yet again began to disappear. As I said I would expect something this expensive to have a longer lasting lifetime."

The headset to go for gaming sound quality

"Best headset I've ever had. The magnetic drivers are a must if you are after great sound quality. There are other models and brands that have the same magnetic drivers technology, but this one is different because it doesn't have a single plastic part. The other magnetic driver headsets I owned in the past broke after a year or two due to plastic fatigue."

One of the Best of its Time

"These Headphones are far from any on the shelf gaming headset that you can buy, it's got the excellent bass response that you need for footstep ques in FPS games, the bass isn't bloated like most close backs, the sounstage is wide and very enjoyable for various genres of music, and gives that competitive edge in games where you're listening for your targets, Rainbow Six Seige comes to mind while writing this. I chose these for the light weight without spending big bucks on the MX4s, and versatility of having the boom mic for games that I want to play on console with some buddies, without having to buy a mod mic. The ear cups are incredibly comfortable and I can see these being great for people with large ears that stick out and people with large heads, there's a lot of adjustability present. Great seal around my ears, I can passively hear my heartbeat like I'm wearing close backs. I'm writing this review with over 100 hours of use in about a month after purchase. I'm an entry level Audio nerd, I've had well over 50 pairs of different headphones some mainstream, some lesser known I do it more as a passionate desire to find the best headphones for my ears. I didn't learn about Audeze until last year and that was my end game goal to get a pair. I'm more than pleased with these headphones, I got a pair of B stock which I haven't found a visual defect on, I assume this was a return product that never got used or was refurbished to A stock tolerance. If you're on the fence I'd say buy a pair you won't be missing out. Great job Audeze!"
