Audeze Introduces New LCD-3 Package with Bakoon and Klutz

June 30, 2013

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. - June 30, 2013 - Audeze, the premier manufacturer of high-end headphones and accessories, travels to Newport Beach, Calif. this weekend to attend The Home Entertainment Show (T.H.E. Show) 2013. Attendees to this year’s show will have the opportunity take in live auditions of Audeze’s award-winning LCD-2 and LCD-3 headphones as well as learn about a new offering from Audeze.

T.H.E. Show 2013 will serve as the introduction of a new all-in-one headphone combination from Audeze, Bakoon Electronics and Klutz Design. The new combination will include a pair of Audeze LCD-3 planar magnetic headphones, a Bakoon HPA-21 headphone amp and a Klutz CanCans headphone stand and will be available through each manufacturer at the impressive price of $4,995--a significant savings compared to purchasing each component separately.

“This new combination offers our customers an opportunity to acquire everything they need to get the most out of their Audeze LCD-3s,” said Alexander Rosson, CEO of Audeze."When the teams at Klutz and Bakoon approached us to discuss a potential partnership in a creating a custom package with our LCD-3 headphones, we were immediately on board. Incidentally, the LCD-3 were used as the reference headphones in the development of the HPA-21, and we’ve been long-time users of Klutz stands, so the partnerships between all three companies was a natural fit. Through this great partnership, we’re now able to offer a product package that eliminates the guess-work of finding high-quality, high-performance amps and headphone stands to pair with our LCD-3 headphones.”

The HPA-21 is the world’s one and only current driving headphone amplifier. By incorporating Bakoon’s unique circuitry, the HPA-21’s amplification technology is now perfectly refined for the level of quality expected when listening to Audeze headphones. Unlike the conventional voltage driving method, the HPA-21’s current driving method achieves far superior driving precision, high power and a low distortion level that is unmatched by any other available conventional headphone amplifiers. In addition, the analog battery power supply technology has been meticulously analyzed and employed into the HPA-21, which further enhances the performance of the circuit to the next level.

The CanCans headphone stand from Klutz allows Audeze LCD-3 users to enjoy the beauty of the headphones while not in use. The sleek and elegant stand is sturdy enough to securely rest the LCD-3s in a cradle and its unique form-factor perfectly complements the distinctive design of Audeze headphones.

In addition to hands-on product demos, attendees to T.H.E. Show have the unique benefit of experiencing a live panel discussion entitled “Headphones: The Good, Bad, and Ugly: Where are we, and where are we going?”. The panel, which will include Audeze’s Rosson, will be hosted by Tyll Hertsens, founder of Headroom and editor of Innerfidelty, and will offer attendees insight into the current state of headphones, headphone amps and more. The panel will be held on Friday, May 31 from 2-3 p.m. and again on Saturday, June 1 from 1-2 p.m.

T.H.E. Show Newport will be held at the Hilton Irvine and Atrium Hotels in Orange County, Calif., May 31-June 2. Opening day is Friday, May 31, beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2, T.H.E. Show will open at 10 a.m. Exhibits are open until 6 p.m. daily, with continuous entertainment provided.
